Photos

My daughter has been scanning a lot of old family photos lately, and it has me thinking about the ebbs and flows of my motivation for taking pictures. There are times when I am the total photo geek–carrying around some form of camera nearly everywhere I go. Other times, though, I don’t even think about taking a camera to anything for extended periods of time. I suppose it’s not a problem–we have more pictures of our family than anyone in their right mind would ever want to review–but I wonder what my great-grandkids will think of my picture taking? Will they be able to see them? Will a storage failure of some sort between now and then wipe everything out? Not earth-shattering in their importance, but these are questions I ponder now and then.
